SRINAGAR: Former Chief Minister of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) Mehbooba Mufti has strongly criticized the Modi led Indian government for ordering Pakistanis to leave the country.
While commenting on the India government decision, Ex-CM Mufti declared it inhumane treatment, she demanded from the Indian government to review the decision of evicting Pakistanis who have been living there for the past 30 to 40 years.
She shared her views on the social networking website X formerly known as Twitter, she said that the recent orders by the Indian government to evict Pakistanis from India have raised concerns about human rights, especially in occupied Kashmir.
“The majority of the victims are women who came to India 30 or 40 years ago and are married to Indian citizens”, Mufti said.
The eviction of citizens who have been living peacefully in India for decades is not only inhumane but will also cause deep emotional stress on the families concerned, she added.
She also lashed out at the Indian government for destroying the homes of Kashmir people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir, adding that it is government responsibility of protecting the people property rather than destroying it.
According to Indian media reports, the Indian occupied forces destroyed nines houses in IIOJK after the Pahalgam incident, which includes the houses of ordinary citizens.
