Sikh community in India stands firm with Pakistan after Pahalgam Attack

ISLAMABAD: The Sikh community has expressed strong support for Pakistan and has firmly condemned any acts of Indian aggression. Sikh leader and prominent figure of the Khalistan Movement, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, assured that the Sikh community would not allow India to cross into Pakistan for any military action.

He was speaking to reporters, Pannun said, “This is not 1965 or 1971. Those times are gone. Today, we are standing with Pakistan like a solid wall. We will not let India cross Punjab to attack Pakistan. Pakistan’s very name means ‘pure,’ and we stand with purity and truth.”

Furthermore, Pannun’s remarks come at a time of extreme tensions following the deadly incident in Pahalgam, which happened just a few days ago.

So far, Pannun also stressed that any move by India to escalate tensions with Pakistan would be met with firm resistance. “Punjab is not just land; it is the heart of our spirit. We will not allow it to be used as a corridor for aggression against our brotherly nation, Pakistan,” he stated.

In such a scenario, Political analysts suggest that this declaration from the Sikh leadership could have serious diplomatic implications, especially at a time when South Asia is already facing multiple challenges on political, security, and economic fronts.

On the other side, Indian authorities have so far maintained silence over the Sikh leader’s strong remarks. However, experts believe that India’s government is closely monitoring these developments.

This unfolding situation signals a potentially new phase in regional dynamics where religious and ethnic groups could play a larger role in influencing political outcomes.
