QUETTA: The security situation in Balochistan witnessed a surge in violence over the past 24 hours as the proscribed Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) carried out its third improvised explosive device (IED) attack, alongside multiple operations claimed by the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF). In response, the swift and effective response of security forces successfully neutralized the threats, ensuring the protection of critical areas and safeguarding civilian lives.
In this regard, the BLA, which has been declared a terrorist organization by the government due to its consistent involvement in anti-state activities, intensified its efforts in recent days by launching a series of attacks aimed at destabilizing the region.
So far, as per the latest sources, the IED attack marked the third such incident within 24 hours, underlining the heightened threat level in the province. The attack, which took place near a security convoy, was swiftly countered by security personnel, minimizing potential casualties and preventing further escalation.

Simultaneously, the BLF, another banned outfit operating in Balochistan, claimed responsibility for six coordinated operations targeting different districts. These attacks included small arms fire, sabotage of communication lines, and attempted assaults on security posts.
In such a case, authorities have confirmed that all such operations were successfully neutralized with minimal damage, owing to the proactive intelligence gathering and rapid response protocols of Pakistan’s security apparatus.
