QUETTA: Balochistan Home Affairs Adviser Babar Yousafzai has praised security forces for what he described as successful counter-terrorism operations across the province, saying more than 71 terrorists have been killed during operations in Shaban, Ziarat, Nushki and Mand.
Yousafzai said the latest operations demonstrated the capability and preparedness of security forces and law-enforcement agencies in confronting militant networks operating in the province. His remarks came amid a continuing security campaign in Balochistan, including Operation Shaban and intelligence-based operations.
The adviser said security forces were conducting operations against elements involved in terrorism with professionalism and determination. He maintained that the state would continue taking action against groups posing a threat to peace and public security.
Yousafzai said the recovery of substantial quantities of weapons and ammunition from terrorist hideouts reflected the effectiveness of intelligence gathering and subsequent security operations.
Radio Pakistan previously reported that weapons, ammunition and explosives had been recovered during Operation Shaban, including M4 rifles, submachine guns and rocket launchers.
The recovery of such material is expected to assist authorities in disrupting the operational capabilities of militant networks and preventing further attacks.
Government Stresses Continued Counter-Terrorism Efforts
The Balochistan Home Affairs adviser said security forces and law-enforcement agencies would continue their efforts against terrorism. He also highlighted the sacrifices made by personnel involved in counter-terrorism operations, describing them as a source of pride for the nation.
Yousafzai said the operations sent a clear message that the state would continue working to counter threats to peace and stability in Balochistan.
He further said the people of Balochistan stood alongside security forces and law-enforcement agencies in efforts to combat terrorism and restore lasting peace.

Security operations in Balochistan remain ongoing, with authorities reporting continued intelligence-based actions against militant hideouts. ISPR said clearance operations would continue following recent engagements until the threat in affected areas was neutralized.
