ISLAMABAD: The PTI long march may be postponed as a majority of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf members have proposed setting a new date, according to party sources. Some members have suggested October 4, while most are reportedly in favour of holding the march on October 10.
PTI sources said consultations are continuing within the party over the schedule and preparations for the planned long march. The leadership has yet to announce a final date officially.
PTI Long March May Be Postponed as Party Considers New Date
According to party sources, several PTI members believe additional time is needed to strengthen preparations and mobilise workers ahead of the planned protest. The proposal to postpone the march has therefore emerged during internal consultations.
Sources said members have put forward different dates and suggestions, with October 4 and October 10 among the options under discussion. However, the majority are reportedly supporting a delay and a fresh date.
The final decision will be taken by the PTI leadership after consultations with party members and consideration of the prevailing political situation.
Once a decision is reached, the party leadership is expected to formally announce the date of the long march along with its future strategy.
As of now, PTI has not officially confirmed a new date for the long march.
