RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has announced the results of the Intermediate Annual Examination 2026.
According to the board, Atifa Javed secured first position with 1,156 marks.
Noor Fatima Sajid stood second with 1,151 marks.
Nabiha Iman and Muneeb Shah jointly secured third position with 1,142 marks each.
Female students once again outperformed male students in the overall results.
A total of 61,409 candidates appeared for the examination. Of these, 36,896 candidates were declared successful.
The overall pass rate stood at around 60.08%, according to figures released by the board.
Female students recorded a pass rate of 67.56%, compared with 46.52% for male students.
A ceremony to announce the results was held at the Rawalpindi Board auditorium.
Members of the Punjab Assembly Raja Muhammad Hanif and Malik Iftikhar Ahmed attended the event.
BISE Rawalpindi Chairman Professor Dr Iqbal Mahmood, board officials, students and their parents were also present.
The board chairman announced the names of the top position holders at the ceremony.
