ISLAMABAD: Pakistan secured their second consecutive victory in the in the Men’s Hockey competition at the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 on Tuesday, defeating Uzbekistan 5-1.
Pakistan dominated the match and scored five goals, with Sufyan Khan netting twice.
Sufyan scored in the 33rd and 57th minutes to strengthen Pakistan’s grip on the game.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Imad, Abdul Rehman and Abubakar Mahmood scored one goal each to complete Pakistan’s tally.
Uzbekistan managed to score once, but Pakistan maintained control to secure a convincing 5-1 victory and claim their second win of the tournament.
Following the match, Pakistan Hockey Federation President Mohyuddin Ahmed Wani congratulated the national team on its victory.
He praised the players’ performance and expressed hope that the team would continue its winning momentum in the remaining matches of the tournament.
