CHAGAI; Under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, security forces in Balochistan have intensified counter-terrorism operations targeting militants backed by the Indian intelligence agency, RAW.
During a recent intelligence-based operation in the Aminabad and Siyah Chang areas of Chagai district, security forces neutralized six militants. A substantial stash of arms and ammunition was also recovered from the site. Counter-terrorism efforts remain active across the region as security forces continue to dismantle militant networks in Balochistan.
Earlier on September 17, security forces have killed five militants associated with Fitna al Hindustan in two intelligence-based operations in Panjgur district of Balochistan, according to an official statement.
The first operation was conducted in the Gwargo area of the district after reports of militant activity. Security forces said the militants were affiliated with the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), which the statement referred to as Fitna al-Hindustan.
The area was cordoned off. Security forces then used advanced technology to track the militants, who were allegedly preparing an improvised explosive device (IED).
A Quick Reaction Force (QRF) pursued the militants. The chase covered about two kilometres. The force later engaged the militants and killed both of them.
Meanwhile, security forces launched a second operation in the area. Three more militants were killed after they were allegedly found planning an attack on security personnel.
In total, five militants were killed in the two operations. Security forces also recovered a large cache of modern weapons and ammunition.
According to the statement, the recovered weapons were allegedly intended for targeted killings and suicide attacks.
Security operations in the area are continuing. Authorities said efforts would continue to eliminate the militant threat.
