LAHORE: Mahnoor Safdar’s Nikah with Azan Jabbar, son of businessman Jabbar Khalid, was solemnised at the Sharif family’s Jati Umra residence in Lahore, marking a special family occasion for Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and her family.
The private nikah ceremony was attended by close relatives, family members and several prominent political figures. The gathering remained largely family-focused, with senior members of the Sharif family among the guests.
Three-time former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his sons Hasan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz attended the ceremony.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb and other notable personalities were also present at Jati Umra.

Mahnoor studied at SOAS University between 2023 and 2026 and recently completed her higher education in London.
Earlier this month, Maryam Nawaz travelled to the British capital to attend her youngest daughter’s graduation ceremony. She described the occasion as a moment of immense pride and happiness for the family.
Speaking to Geo News at the time, the Punjab chief minister said that there could be no greater source of pride for parents than seeing their children complete their education. She added that all three of her children had now completed their higher studies.

Mahnoor Safdar is the youngest of Maryam Nawaz and Captain Muhammad Safdar’s three children. She completed her Anthropology degree at SOAS University of London after studying there from 2023 to 2026.
