KALAT: The security forces on September 2 conducted an intelligence-based operation in Kalat District of Balochistan following reports about the presence of Fitna al-Hindustan.
In this regard, the security forces identified and monitored a suspected terrorist hideout before launching a prompt operation against the militants. The action resulted in the killing of all 12 terrorists present at the hideout, according to the security forces.
The operation was carried out after intelligence indicated the presence of militants in the area.
In this regard, the officials said the hideout was busted through what they described as a prompt and targeted action. A cache of ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) was also found and destroyed at the site.
The recovery and destruction of explosive material was described as an important step in preventing potential attacks and further terrorist activity in the surrounding area.
The security forces and law-enforcement agencies are maintaining operations to ensure that the area is cleared of potential threats and that no other militant elements remain in the vicinity.
The operation comes as Pakistan continues its broader counter-terrorism campaign against militant groups and what authorities describe as foreign-sponsored terrorism.
Counter-Terrorism Campaign to Continue
Security forces said the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign is being conducted under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” which was approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan.
The latest operation in Kalat mentions the continued focus on intelligence gathering, targeted action and area sanitisation as part of Pakistan’s efforts to counter terrorism.

Security forces have reasserted their resolve to maintain the campaign and prevent terrorist organisations from establishing or maintaining operational footholds in the country.
