DUBAI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi met the Pakistan women’s cricket team during its training session at the ICC Academy in Dubai as the squad prepares for the Women’s Asia Cup.
The meeting was attended by Head Coach Waqar Younis and members of the coaching staff. During the interaction, Naqvi encouraged the players and held a detailed discussion about their preparations for the upcoming event.
The PCB chairman asked the players about their readiness and urged them to maintain consistency and remain focused during their matches.

“Play with consistency and stay focused on the game,” Naqvi told the players during the meeting.
He also advised the team to approach the tournament one match at a time while maintaining a winning mindset.
“Play match by match and go for the win,” Naqvi said, according to the PCB.

Naqvi further conveyed the PCB’s expectations from the national women’s side, telling the players that the board had high hopes for their performance in the Women’s Asia Cup.
The players, meanwhile, assured the PCB chairman that they were fully prepared for the tournament. They said they had completed thorough preparations for the event and were determined to meet the expectations placed on them.
The interaction at the ICC Academy provided an opportunity for the PCB chairman to assess the team’s preparations and engage directly with the players ahead of the competition.
Naqvi’s meeting with the squad focused on maintaining confidence, consistency and concentration as Pakistan’s women cricketers prepare to take part in the Women’s Asia Cup.
