QUETTA : Unidentified armed men opened fire on a passenger bus in Mastung district on Saturday, shattering windows but causing no loss of life, authorities confirmed.
According to details, the attack occurred in the Parangabad area of Mastung when assailants targeted a moving passenger bus with gunfire. The bus’s windows were smashed by the bullets, but all passengers aboard remained unharmed in what officials described as a narrow escape.
Police and security forces rushed to the scene immediately after the incident was reported and launched a search operation to track down the attackers. Security personnel have cordoned off the area, and further operations are underway to apprehend those responsible.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. Authorities have assured that efforts are being made to ensure the safety of travelers on the route.
