QUETTA: Former Balochistan Assembly member Ali Hassan Zehri has revealed that President Asif Ali Zardari remains awake throughout the night, closely monitoring the country’s affairs and resting only at 11 am, while all important decisions are being taken with his consultation and guidance.
In a statement issued in Quetta, Zehri said that President Zardari gives ample time to fulfill his responsibilities and keeps a constant eye on national matters. He emphasized that the President’s political experience plays a vital role in steering important state affairs.
Zehri dismissed the impression that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has been sidelined or is not being consulted on national matters, calling such perceptions “contrary to reality.” He said President Zardari, as head of state, is actively providing advice and guidance on key issues.
The former MPA further stated that consultation and experience are of utmost importance in political matters, and President Zardari is playing his role effectively based on his decades of political acumen. He also reiterated that the PPP remains an important player in the country’s political system and its opinion is given due weight in national matters.
