QUETTA: There are 25 terrorists were killed and seven others injured during Operation Radul Fitna 3 against terrorists hideouts in Kalat and Mastung districts in Balochistan.
The operations were conducted in the early hours of Saturday, August 8, following a special intelligence lead, according to the information released regarding the operation.
In this regard, the Special units carried out coordinated actions at several locations, including Marrap and Khaliqabad, as well as Pandaran in Kalat and Khadkocha in Mastung.
The operations targeted hideouts associated with groups identified in the statement as Fitna al Hindustan (FAH) and Fitna al Khawarij (FAK).
However, 19 Fitna Al Hindustan terrorists were killed, while five others were injured. In addition, six Khawarij were also reported killed, with two sustaining injuries.
In Marrap, Kalat, 12 FAH terrorists were killed during the operation. Adding to this, three to four other terrorists were critically injured, while the targeted hideout was completely destroyed.
Meanwhile, another operation was conducted in Lehr, Pandaran, where five militants identified as members of FAK were confirmed killed.
One to two others were reported injured. The bodies of the deceased were being shifted towards the eastern side of Lehr, Pandaran, while the militant hideout was destroyed.
At Jurr in Pandaran, one militant identified as a member of FAK was killed. The body was subsequently being shifted towards Lehr, Pandaran, according to the operational account.
In Khadkocha, Mastung, seven militants were reported killed and two others injured. The hideout targeted during the operation was also destroyed.
The reported operations form part of ongoing security efforts in Balochistan against militant groups and their alleged hideouts.
The latest operation comes amid continued security challenges in parts of Balochistan, where security forces have been conducting targeted actions against militant networks.
The security operation remains ongoing, and additional information regarding the identities of those killed and injured, weapons recovered and other operational developments is expected to follow.
