ISLAMABAD: The major landmarks in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have been illuminated with the flags of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye to mark the signing of a landmark defence agreement between the three countries in Makkah.
The development came a day after the leaders of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye signed the trilateral defence agreement in Makkah, indicating a significant step towards strengthening defence and security cooperation among the three brotherly countries.
In this regard, the prominent government buildings, including the President House, Prime Minister’s House and Parliament House, were illuminated to celebrate the agreement.
The display of the three national flags reflected the importance attached to the growing ties between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.
The capital’s major roads were also decorated with the flags of the three countries.
The welcome banners mentioning the Makkah agreement were displayed at prominent locations across Islamabad, creating a festive atmosphere in the federal capital.
The celebrations were also visible in Saudi Arabia, where prominent landmarks and towers in Riyadh and other major cities were illuminated and decorated with the flags of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.
The symbolic displays mentioned the close and longstanding relations between the three countries and conveyed a message of solidarity, friendship and cooperation.
The trilateral defence agreement is being viewed as an important development in regional security cooperation.
The pact reflects the shared commitment of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye to further strengthen coordination and cooperation in defence and security matters.
