Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif returns home after Saudi Arabia visit
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has returned to Pakistan after completing a visit to Saudi Arabia, the government said.
Sharif travelled back to Pakistan from Medina with a Pakistani delegation.
Before leaving Saudi Arabia, Sharif visited the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina with members of the delegation.
He offered prayers at Rawdah and prayed for the country’s development and prosperity.
Sharif also visited the Prophet’s tomb and received a special visit to the site, according to Pakistani officials.
Medina Governor Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud saw Sharif and the Pakistani delegation off at Medina airport.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Information Minister Atta Tarar and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi accompanied the prime minister.
Sharif made the visit as part of a special trip to Saudi Arabia.

During the visit, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkiye signed a joint defence agreement, according to Pakistani officials.
