Zia ullah Langove secures victory in PB 36 election

QUETTA: Provincial Interior Minister Mir Ziaullah Lango held a crucial consultative meeting with the business community in Quetta, led by Rahim Agha, the central president of the Balochistan Traders Association. Special Assistant to the Interior Minister Babar Yousafzai and Deputy Commissioner Quetta also attended the discussions.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Lango asserted that protest is a fundamental democratic right of every citizen. However, he raised serious concerns over cross-border terrorism, stating that the land of Afghanistan is being used to orchestrate terrorist activities in Balochistan. Condemning the targeted killings of innocent youth and women, he termed it contrary to local traditions and accused a handful of miscreants of spreading unrest at the behest of enemy countries.

Lango assured the business community that all their problems would be resolved through concerted efforts. While acknowledging their right to hold a hartal, he emphasized that it is the government’s primary responsibility to address grievances. He announced that emergency measures are being taken to secure national highways and revealed plans for another round of talks tomorrow, reiterating the government’s readiness to extend full cooperation.

Meanwhile, Rahim Agha, the traders’ leader, shared the community’s reservations, particularly highlighting concerns over the burning of trucks and other pressing matters on the national highways, as well as issues pertaining to the Metropolitan Corporation, seeking the government’s urgent intervention
