Kashmir is Pakistan's pampered child: DG ISPR

ISLAMABAD: DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that Kashmir receives the largest share of state resources.

Speaking during a press conference, he remarked that while all regions are children of the state, Kashmir is Pakistan’s most pampered child, receiving the highest allocation of resources.

Addressing demands to abolish the representation of refugees from Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), he questioned the rationale behind such demands, asking if proponents want to erase the eight decades of massacres and stories of rape against women.

He clarified that the affairs of Azad Kashmir pertain to the government of Azad Kashmir rather than the military, reaffirming that Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan.
