ISLAMABAD: The military spokesperson stated that all political parties are in consensus regarding the National Action Plan, emphasizing that good governance is essential to improving the situation.
Responding to a question about Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s statement, DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry remarked that it was Naqvi’s personal opinion and declined to comment on it.
During the press conference, the DG ISPR stated that drug and diesel smuggling constitute the business of local Sardars (tribal leaders) in Balochistan.
When authorities attempt to stop them, they threaten to instigate terrorism.
He made it clear that persistent unresolved issues indicate that concrete steps toward good governance are necessary, noting that long-standing problems cannot be resolved without effective governance.
