ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Friday assured traders and industrialists from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan of the government’s full support, pledging stronger security measures and practical steps to address challenges facing the business community.
Naqvi made the remarks during a meeting with a delegation representing chambers of commerce from both provinces. The participants discussed the security situation, law and order challenges, and issues affecting trade and industry.
Representatives of the chambers briefed the minister on the difficulties faced by businesses and the prevailing security environment in their respective provinces.
Naqvi updated the delegation on the government’s efforts to improve law and order, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. He said the government would use all available resources to protect traders and industrialists and resolve their concerns.
The interior minister also announced plans to visit Peshawar and Quetta in the coming days.
He said the visits would include meetings with traders in the presence of senior provincial officials to identify practical and long-term solutions to the issues facing the business community.
“Providing a safe and business-friendly environment is one of the government’s top priorities,” Naqvi said.
He described the private sector as a key driver of Pakistan’s economic stability and growth, adding that the country’s development depends on the progress of its business community.
“The entire government stands with traders and industrialists, and their legitimate concerns will be addressed on a priority basis,” he said.
