Security Forces Foil Terror Attack in Sibi, Neutralize Two Militants

FC Balochistan (South) Operation in Dalbandin

SIBI :Pakistani security forces successfully thwarted a major terrorist attempt on Wednesday when they intercepted a motorcycle-borne improvised explosive device (MBIED) targeting a military convoy in the Sibi district.

According to official sources, the attack was carried out by militants affiliated with the banned outfit FAH (Fitna Al-Khawarij). The terrorists attempted to strike a Security Forces convoy using an explosive-laden motorcycle, but the plot failed dramatically when the IED did not detonate.

Security officials credited the failure of the attack to the effectiveness of advanced electronic jamming systems deployed with the convoy, which disrupted the detonation mechanism and rendered the explosive device inoperable.

Following the failed assault, security forces launched an immediate tactical response in the area. The swift counter-operation resulted in the neutralization of two terrorists involved in the planning and execution of the attack.

“The timely jamming of the device prevented what could have been a significant loss of life. Our forces remain vigilant and capable of neutralizing any threat to the nation’s security,” a security official told reporters.

Authorities have cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation to ensure no other militant elements remain in the vicinity. No casualties were reported among security personnel or civilians.

The incident comes amid heightened security measures across Balochistan, where security forces have been actively conducting operations against terrorist networks attempting to destabilize the region
