QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Tuesday met students from Quaid-e-Azam Library after they appealed for improvements to the facility and pledged to transform it into one of Pakistan’s model libraries within three months.
The chief minister invited the students to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, where he listened to their concerns and discussed plans to upgrade the library.
Bugti directed authorities to establish a digital learning lab, procure the latest editions of books, install an improved cooling system, and make the library’s solar power system fully operational.
“We will transform Quaid-e-Azam Library into a model library for Pakistan within three months,” Bugti said.
He said his government would maintain close engagement with young people and work to bridge the gap between the state and the youth.
“We will listen to our youth at every level,” he said.
Bugti said the provincial government was taking concrete steps to provide young people with quality education and better opportunities for growth.
He said modern educational facilities at the library would improve access to research and learning for students.
The chief minister described investment in education, research, and youth development as one of the provincial government’s top priorities.
He said the government was implementing a comprehensive plan to modernize educational institutions and libraries across Balochistan in line with contemporary standards.
Bugti added that an educated, skilled, and informed young generation was essential for Balochistan’s future and pledged continued government support for students.
Students from Quaid-e-Azam Library thanked the chief minister for responding to their concerns and announcing the planned upgrades.
