Gold Prices in Pakistan in 2026
The gold market in Pakistan throughout 2026 reflects a complex interplay between surging global bullion values and persistent domestic economic factors.
Internationally, gold established a strong foothold well above the historic $4,000 per ounce threshold, driven by global macroeconomic shifts, central bank reserve acquisitions, and persistent geopolitical uncertainty.
These global dynamics directly impact Pakistan’s local Sarafa markets, where the pricing mechanism is tied closely to spot rates in major bullion hubs like Dubai.
Domestically, the standard 24-karat gold price per tola has consolidated within the high Rs. 400,000 range.
Beyond international spot prices, local values are heavily dictated by the exchange rate of the Pakistani Rupee against the US Dollar, import duties, and supply-demand cycles surrounding wedding seasons.
Because physical gold remains deeply ingrained in Pakistani culture as a traditional form of wealth storage, demand remains resilient despite record-high price points.
For local investors and citizens, gold continues to serve as a primary hedge against inflation and currency depreciation.
While high prices have led many buyers to shift toward lower-carat jewelry or lighter weight designs for daily wear, investment-grade bars and coins remain high in demand.
Financial analysts note that as long as global economic volatility persists and domestic monetary conditions require risk mitigation, gold will remain one of the most trusted and actively traded asset classes across Pakistan’s financial landscape.
