The video, originating from India, showed a passenger being physically assaulted by police during a train journey, with social media users falsely claiming the man was Hassan Ali.
Responding via an Instagram story, Samiyah expressed sadness over how easily people on both sides of the border fall for and spread fake news.
Adding a touch of humor with laughing emojis, she quipped that it has been three years since their last visit to India, suggesting people simply miss them and are looking for excuses to invite them back.
