QUETTA: In a swift display of accountability, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Khuzdar has suspended two police personnel after a video surfaced on social media allegedly showing them collecting illegal money from vehicle drivers in the Nal area.

 

The incident came to light when a clip depicting the patrolling team of the Nal police station demanding cash from motorists went viral, prompting immediate action from the district police chief. The suspended officials have been identified as Constable Ali Nawaz and Constable Faizullah.

 

Confirming the development, SSP Khuzdar stated that the video brought serious allegations against the conduct of the patrolling team. Following an initial review of the footage, both constables were placed under immediate suspension pending a formal departmental inquiry.

 

To ensure a thorough investigation, the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Khuzdar has been directed to probe the matter. The SSP has set a strict three-day deadline for the inquiry officer to submit a comprehensive report detailing the findings and suggesting appropriate disciplinary measures.

 

The police have reiterated their commitment to upholding the law and ensuring that any elements tarnishing the force’s reputation are dealt with firmly. No further comments have been issued regarding the authenticity of the video or the specifics of the collection, as the matter is currently under official investigation
