QUETTA: Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan (South) conducted 86 free medical camps across remote districts of southern Balochistan in June, providing healthcare services to nearly 10,000 people, officials said.
The outreach program was carried out in and around Turbat, Mand, Balida, Hoshab, Dasht, Panjgur, Kharan, Mashkel, Dalbandin and Taftan, areas where access to healthcare remains limited.
A total of 9,874 patients received free medical consultations and treatment from qualified doctors and trained medical staff.
Free medicines were distributed to patients during the camps. Children, women and elderly people were given priority care.
According to FC Balochistan (South), the initiative aimed to improve access to basic healthcare in underserved communities and support the well-being of people living in remote parts of the province.
The medical camps formed part of the force’s ongoing community outreach and public welfare efforts in southern Balochistan.
