QUETTA : Provincial Minister for Food Haji Noor Muhammad Khan Damar has condemned the deadly attack on police personnel in Ziarat district as a “cowardly act” and a “heartbreaking tragedy” unparalleled in the area’s history. In a strongly worded statement, the minister expressed profound sorrow, noting that the entire district is now in mourning, with grief permeating every household, street, and heart.
Paying glowing tribute to the fallen officers, Minister Damar praised their extraordinary bravery despite limited resources. “Our brave sons fought the terrorists valiantly throughout the day and sacrificed their lives defending the homeland until the last bullet,” he said. “These great sacrifices will not go in vain.”
The provincial minister made a fervent appeal to Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir and the Prime Minister of Pakistan to jointly intervene and restore peace and order in Ziarat and Harnai districts. He called for a comprehensive and effective military operation in the hilly terrain of these areas, stressing that indiscriminate action against terrorists and their facilitators is imperative to re-establish the writ of the state and provide a safe environment for citizens.
Haji Noor Muhammad Damar further announced that the people of Ziarat and Harnai, along with tribal elders, have expressed full solidarity with security forces and are ready to extend all possible cooperation to restore peace. He reiterated that the Balochistan government stands firmly alongside the federal government and security agencies, and is resolutely determined to root out the scourge of terrorism from the province.
Sharing the grief of the martyrs’ families, the minister affirmed that Ziarat has always been a peaceful district and its tranquility will be safeguarded at all costs. “The security of lives and property of the people of Ziarat and Harnai is the government’s top priority,” he declared.
He assured the nation that the fight against terrorism will continue with unwavering loyalty to the blood of the martyrs, and the war will be taken to its logical conclusion. Expressing hope, he stated that timely and decisive action by security forces will usher in a new era of peace, stability, and development in these troubled districts.
