QUETTA: Pakistan Railways has temporarily suspended the Jaffar Express train service between Quetta and Peshawar has been suspended for a one-day on Tuesday.
According to railway sources, the Jaffar Express scheduled to depart from Quetta for Peshawar could not leave for its destination. The train traveling from Peshawar to Quetta will be halted at Jacobabad and will be returned.
Pakistan Railways officials did not specify the reasons behind the suspension but indicated that the suspension was due to unavoidable circumstances.
The Jaffar Express is one of the country’s key long-distance rail services, connecting Balochistan with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Railway authorities have not disclosed further details but assured that normal operations have resumed other day.
