MUZAFFARABAD / RAWALAKOT: The Azad Kashmir Police department has officially announced the establishment of dedicated Facilitation Centers in Rawalakot to ensure the safe and unhindered return of young individuals who traveled to the area for the Joint Awami Action Committee’s long march.
According to an official press release issued on June 14, 2026, by the spokesperson for the Inspector General of Police, Azad Kashmir, a number of young people from various districts—including Bhimber and Mirpur—had arrived in Rawalakot via different rallies following a long march call initiated on June 9, 2026.
The police stated that many of these youths, disillusioned by the criminal, extremist, and negative attitudes observed within the action committee, now wish to leave the protest and return to their respective homes.
The official statement clarified that individuals associated with the proscribed Awami Action Committee have been using social media accounts to intimidate these youths, threatening that they will be arrested or shot by police and rangers if they attempt to leave the protest.

کالعدم عوامی ایکشن کمیٹی کے ذریعے پھیلائی جانے والی افواہیں کہ احتجاج کو چھوڑ کر گھروں کو واپس جانے والے نوجوانوں کو گرفتار کر لیا جائے گا یا انہیں جان سے مار دیا جائے گا قطعی طور پر جھوٹی اور بے بنیاد ہیں۔
آزاد کشمیر کے اضلاع بھمبھر، میرپور وغیرہ کے وہ تمام نوجوان جو عوامی ایکشن کمیٹی کے بہکاوے میں آ کر اس وقت راولاکوٹ میں موجود ہیں اور اپنے گھروں کو واپسی کے خواہشمند ہیں وہ ہمارے لیے قابل احترام شہری ہیں۔
پولیس کی جانب سے اپنے گھروں کو واپسی کے خواہشمند نوجوانوں کی بحفاظت واپسی کے لیے راولاکوٹ میں سہولت مراکز (Facilitation Centers) بنائے جا رہے ہیں جن سے رابطہ کرتے ہوئے نوجوان بلا روک ٹوک اپنے گھروں کو واپس جا سکتے ہیں۔

Dismissing these claims, the Azad Kashmir Police spokesperson explicitly termed the rumors as completely baseless and false.
The police emphasized that all youths from Bhimber, Mirpur, and other districts who were misled into coming to Rawalakot but now wish to return home are respected citizens.
To ensure their safety, the police are setting up Facilitation Centers in Rawalakot.
Young individuals can contact these centers to secure safe passage and return to their families without any fear, harassment, or obstruction.
