LONDON :A Royal Navy helicopter crashed during a training flight in southwest Britain on Wednesday, killing all three crew members on board, the British Ministry of Defense has confirmed.
The tragic incident occurred at around 4 am near the village of Sorton in Devon, according to a Royal Navy spokesman. The helicopter was engaged in a routine training exercise at the time of the crash.
The Ministry of Defense issued a statement on Wednesday confirming the accident, which was first reported by a news agency. The Royal Navy spokesman expressed deep sadness over the loss of the crew members.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the deceased, pending notification of next of kin. An investigation into the cause of the crash has been launched.
