Balochistan Govt Temporarily Suspends Mobile Internet Services in Quetta

QUETTA: the Balochistan government on Wednesday suspended mobile internet services in the provincial capital Quetta for several hours due to security concerns.

Aide to the Balochistan Home Department Babar Yousafzai said in a statement that

measure was taken as a precautionary step to ensure public safety.

“The protection of citizens’ lives and property remains the government’s top priority,” he said. “This decision has been taken solely to safeguard public security.”

Yousafzai apologized for the inconvenience caused by the temporary disruption and appealed for public cooperation.

He said mobile internet services would be restored once the situation returns to normal.

The adviser also urged residents not to pay attention to rumors and to rely only on official sources for information.
