Kohistan/Shangla: Two separate tragic incidents in the region have resulted in 12 fatalities, including six children.
In the first incident, which occurred late last night in the Rahim Abad area of Alpuri tehsil, Shangla, the roof of a house collapsed, burying seven children under the debris.
Rescue officials and local volunteers immediately launched an operation to clear the rubble.
Sadly, six children lost their lives, while one young girl was successfully rescued alive. The rescue operation has since been completed.
In a separate incident near the Lower Matta Banda checkpoint, a Rawalpindi-bound car (registration number AFB 324) traveling from Gilgit met with a fatal accident.
According to police authorities, six individuals were killed in the crash.
The victims reportedly hail from Muzaffarabad, Khanewal, and other areas.
A rescue operation was initiated immediately following the crash, and the process of identifying the deceased is currently underway.
