Gwadar Port is the Future of Pakistan: Asif Zardari

ISLAMABAD :  President Asif Ali Zardari stated that Pakistan taught India a lesson within a week that it will always remember. Addressing a public gathering in Moro, the President emphasized his vision to build a country where future generations face no hardships, adding that they will work together to strengthen both their own hands and the establishment.

President Zardari highlighted the sacrifices of the Bhutto family, noting that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto made the country a nuclear power, Mir Murtaza Bhutto and Shahnawaz Bhutto accepted martyrdom for the nation, and Benazir Bhutto sacrificed her life for the country.

He reiterated that the slogan “Pakistan Khappe” (We want Pakistan) was raised for the sake of the country, declaring, “If Pakistan exists, we all exist.”

Criticizing Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the President called him a man of narrow mindset, recalling his days as a Chief Minister.

He slammed Modi’s policies on Kashmir, stating that Modi turned Kashmir into a One Unit and encouraged people to go and marry Kashmiri girls.

Reflecting on his achievements, President Zardari mentioned that all developmental work was executed under the 1973 Constitution, adding that he envisioned and subsequently built the Gwadar Port to improve the conditions in Balochistan.

Referring to past military tensions, the President highlighted Pakistan’s defense capabilities, stating that Pakistan shot down the Indian jets that attempted to attack.

He revealed that while there were 40 Indian jets visible on Pakistan’s radar, they chose not to shoot them all down.

He criticized Modi’s traditional merchant mindset (“Baniya mindset”), stating that Modi is consumed by his own power.

However, when Pakistan shot down India’s jets, Modi realized that Pakistan could destroy the Indian Air Force from its own territory.

Concluding his speech, President Zardari stressed the need to fight an economic war to make the country financially strong.

He also pointed out that the atrocities committed against Muslims in India are systematically censored and not shown on the media.
