PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has announced that it will not carry out load-shedding for two days of Eid-ul-Azha. The company will provide uninterrupted electricity across all feeders in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for 24 hours.
PESCO Chief Executive Officer Akhtar Hamid Khan said the decision aimed to facilitate consumers during the Eid holidays. He said the step would help people perform religious rituals and celebrate Eid with ease.
He said PESCO staff would remain on duty during Eid days. He said the company would ensure continuous power supply across the region.
He added that all relevant subdivisions and feeders had received additional transformers, wires, meters and other equipment.
A PESCO spokesperson urged citizens not to tie sacrificial animals to electric poles. He also asked consumers to avoid unnecessary use of electricity so that supply could remain stable for all households.
