QUETTA: Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri, a senior leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and former Chief Minister of Balochistan, has strongly condemned the abduction of two Zehri tribesmen—Muhammad Ali (Pindrani) Zehri and Muhammad Khan (Pindrani) Zehri—from the Rabia area of Naseerabad.
Demanding their immediate release, the Chief of Jhalawan criticized the kidnappers, stating that extorting money and abducting poor farmers and laborers does not lead to “freedom,” nor does it win public sympathy. He emphasized that the Zehri tribe has never paid extortion money in the past and will not do so now.
Warning the perpetrators not to push them to extremes, Nawab Zehri noted that the tribe’s elders are currently remaining patient only to prevent bloodshed.
However, he cautioned that if forced, he would authorize his tribal elders, chieftains (Waderas, Takris), and deputies to take direct action for their own protection, emphasizing that the Zehri tribe is not helpless.
