ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is set to introduce a premium “Meet and Assist” service at Islamabad International Airport in a move aimed at improving passenger convenience and bringing local aviation facilities closer to international standards.
The new service, which will cater to both domestic and international travelers, is being launched to provide passengers with a more comfortable and seamless airport experience.
In this regard, the facility has been designed on the pattern of internationally recognized airport hospitality services, including Dubai Airport’s well-known “Marhaba” service.
So far, the passengers who subscribe to the service will be offered several premium facilities, including access to dedicated VIP lanes for vehicle drop-off and pick-up, business class lounges, and fast-track arrangements for immigration and check-in procedures.
The initiative is expected to significantly reduce waiting times and enhance the overall travel experience for passengers using the airport.
Furthermore, the management of the Pakistan Airports Authority said the initiative is part of broader efforts to upgrade passenger services at Pakistani airports and align them with modern international aviation standards.
The launch of the premium airport service is being viewed as an important step toward achieving that long-term vision.
The airport also holds strategic significance due to its location along the route linked to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, widely regarded as a key component of Pakistan’s future economic development.
Although the service will initially be available only at Islamabad International Airport, plans are already under consideration to expand it to other major airports across the country in the future.
He said the launch of the “Khush Aamdeed” service represents a commitment to upgrading aviation services in Pakistan through modern and technology-driven solutions.
He added that the system would include real-time CRM tracking, apron logistics management, and personalized passenger care to ensure a secure and world-class travel experience.
