Mohammad Amir Gains Eligibility to Participate in IPL

LAHORE: Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir has become a British citizen after the UK government issued him a passport.

According to details, Amir had applied for British citizenship a few years ago. He has now completed all legal requirements and the mandatory processing period.

Amir represented Pakistan in 36 Tests, 61 ODIs, and 62 T20 internationals. His wife, Nargis Khan, is already a British citizen.

With his new status, Amir has also become eligible to participate in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as a British player.

It is worth noting that Amir announced his second retirement from international cricket last year.
