Rana Sana Declares Afghan Terrorism as Operation Sindoor Phase 2

Imran Khan's corruption exposed: Rana Sanaullah points to Toshakhana verdict

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister’s Advisor Rana Sanaullah has declared that Pakistan will target terrorists operating from Afghan soil until they are “completely eliminated,” calling the ongoing counterterrorism effort the “second phase of Operation Sindoor.”

Addressing the Senate on Wednesday, Sanaullah responded sharply to objections raised by Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman and Azam Swati, asserting that 7,000 to 8,000 “misguided individuals” are receiving terrorist training from inside Afghanistan. He alleged that India and Israel are involved in funding and providing that training.

“This is the second phase of Operation Sindoor,” Sanaullah said, clarifying government policy. “The terrorists present in Afghanistan will be targeted until they are completely eliminated.”

He told the House that Pakistan’s political and military leadership has taken a firm and irrevocable decision to halt terrorism incidents. The Prime Minister, he added, has made it clear to Afghanistan that it must choose between Pakistan and the terrorists.

“We love the people of Afghanistan,” Sanaullah said, “but if Afghan land is used for terrorism against Pakistan, then this place will be targeted.”

In remarks directed at the opposition party PTI, Sanaullah advised the party to keep its politics separate from terrorists. “There is no doubt that you have political differences with the government and objections to the mandate,” he said. “Disagree, but do not link the terrorism in the country with politics.”

He also clarified that terrorists have no demands—including elections, prisoner releases, or meetings—calling them “enemies of Pakistan and friends of Modi.”

Sanaullah concluded by expressing support for the concerns about terrorism raised by Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman.
