ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Tuesday that the federal government is working with provincial authorities to promote development in Balochistan.
He made the remarks during a meeting with a delegation of senior political leaders from Balochistan, the Prime Minister’s Office said.
The delegation included Senator Mir Dostain Khan Domki, Balochistan Public Health Engineering Minister Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran, Balochistan Assembly member Sardar Changez Marri, and Mir Khuda Bakhsh Marri.

The prime minister said the development and prosperity of Balochistan and the welfare of its people remain a top priority for the government.
He said Balochistan is rich in natural resources and the government is making efforts to ensure that local people fully benefit from these resources.
Officials said both sides discussed development projects and measures to improve public services in the province.
