Trump Hails Pakistan as ‘Wonderful Country,’ Praises PM and Field Marshal

Field Marshal Tells Trump Iranian Port Blockade Hindering Second Round of Talks

WASHINGTON : US President Donald Trump has described Pakistan as a “wonderful country” and lauded its Prime Minister and Field Marshal as “wonderful personalities,” while also making sweeping claims about Iran attacking American vessels and the collapse of Iran’s political regimes.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump alleged that Iran “should not have attacked American ships today,” stating that the attack involved missiles and drones. He did not provide specific evidence or casualty figures.

The US President then made a series of dramatic assertions about Iran’s internal political structure. “The first regime of Iran has ended, the second is almost inoperable. Regime change has already taken place in Iran. Now we are dealing with the third regime,” Trump said. He added that “Iran will sign the agreement soon” and reiterated his long-standing position that “Iran can never have nuclear weapons.”

Earlier in the day, in a statement released on his Truth Social platform, President Trump claimed that Iranian drones and small boats had been destroyed in the Strait of Hormuz. He stated that American warships passed through the strategic waterway without sustaining any damage.

“Three US war destroyers were not damaged. Iranian forces attacked US ships with drones and small boats,” Trump wrote. He added that US warships are rejoining the naval blockade mission and warned, “If Iran does not make a deal, even more severe action will be taken.”

There was no immediate comment from Iranian officials or the Pentagon regarding the President’s claims. The remarks come amid heightened tensions in the Persian Gulf region over Iran’s nuclear program and maritime security.
