Russian President meets with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, makes big announcement

MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin has confirmed his country’s commitment to supporting Iran and promoting stability across the region, stating that Moscow will take all necessary steps in the interest of Iran and other regional states.

In this regard, President Putin held a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Moscow, where both sides discussed bilateral relations and the evolving regional situation. The meeting comes at a time of heightened tensions in parts of the Middle East.

During the meeting, the Iranian foreign minister delivered a special message from Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, to the Russian president. In response, President Putin conveyed his goodwill and asked Abbas Araghchi to pass on his best wishes to the Iranian leadership.

President Putin expressed hope that the Iranian people would successfully overcome the current challenges they are facing. He emphasized the importance of peace and stability in the region, noting that constructive dialogue and cooperation remain key to resolving ongoing issues.

“Russia will continue to take all possible measures that serve the interests of Iran and other countries in the region,” President Putin stated. His remarks underline Moscow’s broader foreign policy approach, which prioritizes strategic partnerships and regional balance.
