Hyderabad beat Multan in PSL thriller

LAHORE: In a thrilling Pakistan Super League match in Lahore, Hyderabad Kingsmen defeated Multan Sultans by successfully chasing a target of 214 runs, reaching it for the loss of six wickets.

Multan Sultans batted first and scored 213 for 7, with Steve Smith playing a fine innings of 106 runs off just 50 balls, hitting 6 sixes and 12 fours.

Sahibzada Farhan added 66 runs from 43 balls. In reply, Hyderabad Kingsmen started aggressively, with captain Marnus Labuschagne providing a quick start, supported well by wicketkeeper Usman Khan, who scored a century off just 44 balls.

After their dismissals, Hassan Khan and Irfan Khan Niazi played crucial finishing knocks, with Hassan smashing 24 runs off just 6 balls.

Peter Siddle took 3 wickets for 39 runs, but Hyderabad Kingsmen achieved the target on the fourth ball of the final over.
