ISLAMABAD: The government has issued directives to ensure timely salary payments ahead of three consecutive holidays across the country.
In Punjab, authorities have ordered that government employees be paid their salaries on April 30.
According to the notification, salaries will be released early due to the Labour Day holiday on May 1, followed by the weekend holidays on May 3 and Sunday.
The Punjab Finance Department has taken steps to ensure smooth and timely disbursement of salaries.
It is worth noting that the Government of Pakistan has already issued an official notification for public, bank, and optional holidays for the year 2026, which includes Labour Day on May 1.
