New Delhi: Senior Indian Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has stated that if Pakistan succeeds in its efforts to promote international peace, India should welcome it.
In his statement, Tharoor emphasized that India must support every initiative aimed at international peace, regardless of who facilitates it.
Tharoor’s remarks come at a time when the Indian government, led by the BJP, has acknowledged the Iran-US negotiations but deliberately avoided crediting Pakistan’s mediating role.
While the international community continues to appreciate Pakistan’s contribution in reducing tensions between Iran and the United States, India appears uncomfortable with this recognition and is displaying its traditional jealousy and negativity.
