PESHAWAR: Security forces killed two key commanders of India proxy Fitna al Khawarij during an intelligence-based operation in Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security sources said.
The operation took place in the Bilatanabad area after authorities received credible intelligence about the presence of wanted militants.
Forces launched a swift and targeted action after confirming their location.
Sources identified the slain commanders as “Khar” and “Saifur Rehman,” describing them as senior operatives involved in multiple militant attacks in the region.
Officials said the militants had posed a serious threat to local peace and had spread fear among residents.
Security authorities described the group as responsible for violence, unrest, and destabilization, which disrupt normal life and undermine social stability.
The forces reiterated their commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against militancy across Pakistan.
They said security agencies remain actively engaged in safeguarding civilians and maintaining peace with professionalism and vigilance.
Officials added that intelligence-based operations are targeting militant networks while restricting their movement and operational capacity.
