RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir chaired the 274th Corps Commanders’ Conference, where top military leadership reviewed security, counterterrorism operations, and regional developments.
The forum began with prayers for the martyrs of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians who lost their lives in the defence of the country. Participants paid tribute to their sacrifices and reaffirmed that the legacy of martyrs remains the foundation of Pakistan’s security.
The army chief commended the professionalism, operational readiness, and sustained intelligence-based counterterrorism efforts of the Pakistan Armed Forces. He praised their resolve in defending the country against evolving threats.
The forum noted that close coordination between the government, armed forces, and the public continues to strengthen Pakistan’s security gains, economic stability, and global standing.
Participants reiterated that all terrorist proxies, their facilitators, and abettors—backed by India and other external sponsors—would be pursued relentlessly and eliminated without discrimination.
The conference resolved to sustain the momentum of Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq until terrorist safe havens are dismantled and the use of Afghan soil against Pakistan is decisively ended.
The forum appreciated the government’s diplomatic efforts to end the conflict in the Middle East. It reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to dialogue, de-escalation, and principled diplomacy.
Participants said Pakistan continues to act as a responsible stakeholder and a stabilising force for regional security.
The forum strongly condemned recent attacks on petrochemical and industrial facilities in Saudi Arabia and expressed concern over rising tensions. It said such attacks undermine ongoing peace efforts and destabilise the region.
The conference also criticised Iran’s actions, stating that strikes on Saudi Arabia weaken sincere attempts to resolve disputes through peaceful means. It noted that Saudi Arabia’s restraint has helped keep diplomatic channels open.
The forum rejected what it described as India’s disinformation campaigns, baseless allegations, and false flag narratives, saying such tactics have been exposed globally.
Participants expressed concern over ongoing human rights violations and extrajudicial killings in Indian-administered Kashmir.
