LAHORE: During the 6th match of HBL PSL 11, Lahore Qalandars were penalized 5 runs after the umpires noticed tampering with the condition of the ball during Karachi Kings’ batting innings.
After the match, Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi was asked about the incident by Ramiz Raja.
Ramiz Raja questioned Shaheen: “At the end of the match, the ball was taken away from you because it had been tampered with (ball tampering). What do you have to say about this?”
In response, Shaheen Afridi said: “I don’t know anything about it. We will check the camera footage, and then we’ll see who did it.”

It is worth noting that in PSL 11, Lahore Qalandars’ Fakhar Zaman has been charged with a Level 3 offense for ball tampering.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued a statement regarding the Code of Conduct violation. According to the PCB, Fakhar Zaman was charged under Article 41.3 of the PSL Playing Conditions for altering the condition of the ball.
The match referee, Roshan Mahanama, conducted the disciplinary hearing, during which Fakhar Zaman denied the charge leveled against him.
