PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court has directed Afghan artists to approach the Ministry of Interior regarding their visa and stay applications in Pakistan.
A two-member bench headed by Justice Waqar Ahmed heard the case.
The lawyer for the petitioners informed the court that 109 Afghan artists have applied for permission to stay in Pakistan.
The counsel argued that due to the current dangerous situation in Afghanistan, musicians and artists face serious threats to their lives and cannot return safely.
After hearing the arguments, the court instructed the petitioners to approach the Ministry of Interior for resolution of their visa and stay issues.
