ISLAMABAD: Prominent Islamic scholar Allama Asif Raza Alvi has rejected negative narratives circulating on social media regarding Shia Ulema meeting with the Chief of Defence Forces, calling them part of a coordinated campaign to mislead the public.
Reacting to the propaganda, Alvi said the reports distort facts and misrepresent events. He added that the current narrative circulating online is completely false and appears to be designed to create confusion.
Alvi specifically addressed reports about a recent meeting between the Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and senior Shia scholars. He said attempts are being made to politicize the meeting and create a misleading impression that does not reflect reality.
He stated that all participants at the meeting rejected the propaganda and confirmed that the circulating narrative contradicts the facts.
He further emphasized that Pakistan’s foreign policy is progressing effectively, with decisions being made in the country’s national interest.
He urged the public to exercise caution on social media, verify information before sharing, and pray for guidance to speak, hear, understand, and follow the truth.
Earlier, Mufti Muhammad Faizan highlighted the significance of the meeting with Field Marshal Munir. He said the gathering aimed to promote unity within the Muslim community. Faizan expressed full confidence in the Field Marshal and condemned those spreading misinformation about the meeting.
