We have no fight with Afghan people: DG ISPR

Islamabad: Speaking exclusively to senior journalist Hamid Mir on Geo News programme Capital Talk, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Major General Chaudhry Ahmed Sharif stated:

“We have no quarrel with the Afghan people, but Afghanistan has been taken hostage by terrorists.”

He explained that drug-addicted individuals are being used to carry out suicide attacks.

Referring to recent Pakistani airstrikes, he said: “The explosions caused by ammunition during the strikes were witnessed by the entire city with their own eyes.”

Major General Sharif emphasized that Pakistan is fighting a war against terrorism. He clarified that the recent strikes in Kabul specifically targeted ammunition and weapons that were under Taliban control and use.

He further said: “The drones used by the Taliban against Pakistan are being supplied by India.”

“This war has been imposed on Pakistan by terrorists and their handlers,” he added.

Regarding the recent Wana Cadet College attack, he disclosed that five terrorists were killed in the operation, and all five were Afghan nationals.
